CHILDREN'S PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS


Calendar Dates and Times


  
BookBabies       Stories, songs and fingerplays for children ages 3-30 months and caregivers


  
Toddler Time    Stories and songs for children ages 2 1/2 -4 with caregiver


  
Story Circle        Children ages 4-6 enjoy sharing stories, new boks, activities and a theme related craft. Siblings, parents & caregivers are welcome to stay and enjoy the fun.


  

The Reading Club      A book discussion group for 4th and 5th graders and an adult. Copies of the book selected for discussion are available at the Children’s Reference Desk 


  
Reading Together  Children in grades 1-3 will share a story or a chapter from a book together. then we'll have some fun with the topics introduced.  We meet every 3 weeks to read something together and share what we've been reding on our own.  


An Evening of Chess    Informal sessions of beginner chess instruction and game playing. We begin at 6:30 with instruction, hints, strategies etc. Then we pair off and play games at 7 pm. Suitable for ages 5 and up.


 

Sing with Ellen    Ellen brings songs, flannel board stories and lots of fun for families with children ages 2 1/2 and up.
