Graphic Novel Awards and "Best of" Lists
Eisner Awards - Starting in 1984 as the Jack Kirby Awards, the Eisner Awards are named after Will Eisner, largely considered to be one of the foremost thinkers and practitioners in comics. The award winners are announced at the annual San Diego Comic-Con, the largest comics convention in the United States.
Harvey Awards - An offshoot of the Jack Kirby Awards, the Harvey Awards are the other main comics industry award and are held during the annual Baltimore Comic-Con. Ignatz Awards - Representing the small press and indy publishers are the Ignatz Awards, named after George Harriman's character from the classic Krazy Kat comic strip.
YALSA's Great Graphic Novels for Teens - An annual list published by the Young Adult Library Services Association, this list contains graphic novels selected by a board of librarians, and also comes with a shorter, Top Ten list.
Time Magazine's All TIME Top Ten Graphic Novels - Using the same rules as when they select their Top 100 books, Time Magazine selects their Top Ten graphic novels.
New York Times Best-Selling Graphic Novels - In addition to their other Best-Seller lists, the Gray Lady began publishing a list for graphic novels (they call them "graphic books") in early 2009.
Diamond Distributors Bestsellers List - Diamond Comic Distributors is the largest comic distribution company and publishes a monthly Top 50 graphic novel and Top 25 manga bestsellers list, in addition to their Reviews page.
