Wellesley Free library, contracts with the Metrowest Massachusetts Regional Library System to provide interlibrary loan services to member libraries.
The Wellesley Free Library Interlibrary Loan Department serves as the regional interlibrary loan center for member librarys of the Metrowest Massachusetts Regional Library System. Metrowest is one of the six regional library systems established in 1997 by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. As a regional interlibrary loan center, Wellesley Free Library Interlibrary Loan Department borrows items requested by patrons in the Metrowest region that are not available in the patron's home library system.
- To Borrow magazine or journal articles:
Welleseley, like all of the regional interlibrary loan centers, borrows primarily returnable items (books, videos, CDs, etc.)Libraries are urged to contact the Boston Public Library Interlibrary loan Department directly for copies of magazine or journal articles since the Massachsetts Board of Library Commissioners has designated Boston a library of last resort for this purpose.
