While the Library is Closed: A Message from the Director
The Coronavirus pandemic continues to evolve. We are excited to have begun our phased reopening plan that prioritizes the safety and well-being of staff and patrons. Our goal is to bring back the things you love while ensuring the health of our community. We are taking a careful and measured approach in order to meet stringent new health, safety and hygiene procedures.
The book drop at the Main Library is open for returns of library materials.
All items currently have a due date of July 31, so there is no rush to return them.
Phone reference and library information is available at the Main Library. Call 781-235-1610 to speak with a staff person.
Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
- We have thousands of requests to process while staggering staff work times for safety purposes. We are following the directions of town officials and the Board of Health Department on safety protocols.
- You can reach a librarian through our contact form or via chat from the website.
- The Virtual Branch (all website resources including e-books, databases, streaming, etc) is available 24/7 with your library card. Click here if you need a card.
- We have drastically increased digital content purchasing so that we are able to provide you with a much wider selection of e-materials. This includes not only e-books, but audio books, digital magazines, databases, and streaming services.
The Friends of the WFL are developing plans too! Please hold on to your book donations for now.
We appreciate your enthusiasm for books and the library, and look forward to seeing you when we do reopen.
All are encouraged to sign up for the Town of Wellesley News and Announcements for the latest updates.
Please stay healthy and remember to wash your hands.
