Starting your own business can be an exciting and rewarding experience. Advantages include being your own boss, setting your own schedule, and making a living doing something you enjoy. But, becoming a successful entrepreneur requires thorough planning, creativity and hard work. This workshop is designed for people who are thinking about starting their own business or are in the early stages of growing their business. It will include a discussion of tools that can help you evaluate how you will address the challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurship, and will also provide a high-level overview of many key topics related to starting a business.

Steps to Starting a Business

In this workshop you will learn a lean approach to business plans called the Business Model Canvas. See how, in a couple of hours, you can make tremendous progress toward getting the nuts and bolts of your business plan down on paper, so that you can move on to the critical activities of testing your assumptions and refining your business ideas.
