What’s New In TV Series?
19-2 Seasons 1, 2 & 3: 19-2 revolves around the day-to-day life of two unwilling partners of the Montreal Police Department, Officers Nick Barron and Ben Chartier. These two beat cops patrol the urban sprawl of downtown’s 19th district, in cruiser No. 2. 19-2 is about the tensions and bonds that develop between two incompatible men of very different temperaments and life experiences. Over time, Nick and Ben’s mistrust and antagonism for each other give way to moments of mutual respect and a wavering chance at a true partnership. As Season 1 progresses, we also get to know the tight-knit squad of 19. We see friendship and enmity, loyalty and betrayal. The series delivers in portraying the unpredictability and fragility of the world of a beat cop through moments of life-threatening intensity to its characters, both on and off duty, cementing 19-2 as a powerful character study and a gripping police drama.
Fuller House Season 1: In a continuation of Full House (1987), D.J. Fuller is a mother of three young boys and is a recent widow. D.J.’s sister Stephanie, her best friend Kimmy and Kimmy’s teenage daughter all move in to help raise her sons. The house is now a lot fuller.
Grace & Frankie Season 2: After learning their ex-husbands plan to marry one another, lifelong rivals Grace and Frankie have bonded in an uneasy friendship. The second season of this acclaimed comedy series brings more laughs and surprises as Grace and Frankie tackle the challenges of family and relationships, while driving each other crazy on a regular basis.
The Level: The series follows Detective Sergeant Nancy Devlin, who leads a double life. Her high-flying police career is at odds with an attachment to shady businessman and drug trafficker Frank Le Saux, who acts as a father figure to her. Having kept him off the police’s radar for years, Nancy finds her secret at risk of exposure when Frank is murdered in Brighton and she’s placed in the middle of the investigation, with a killer stalking her.
A Place to Call Home Season 4: In this season, the characters are strongly affected by two contrasting social issues in 1954. The first being the conservative wave of fear generated by the “Reds Under the Beds” scare surrounding the Petrov Affair. The second being the wave of liberal change that opened up new social and moral choices for Australians at the time.
