Wellesley Reads Together 2020

The Library Book by Susan Orlean

Wellesley Reads Together  is a community reading program with the goal of bringing residents together to read the same book, engage in discussions, and attend related programs. The Library Book, by Susan Orlean, chronicles the true story of a devasting fire in the 1980s at the Los Angeles Public Library.  Investigators descended on the scene, but more than thirty years later, the mystery remains: Did someone purposefully set fire to the library–and if so, who?  Related programs are scheduled for the late winter and early spring of  2020, including book discussions, a visit from an arson investigator turned author, a screening of an acclaimed documentary film, and more.
