Attend an Event

Along with our Annual Fall Appeal, the Wellesley Free Library Foundation hosts events throughout the year to raise the private funds necessary to ensure our library remain a leader among libraries in Massachusetts. Attending an event is a great way to get involved and support the Library we love.

Since 2010, The Library Foundation has hosted its popular Gala every other year, with over $1 million raised to support our Library. The Gala is the talk of the town, with a sold-out crowd of nearly 300 Wellesley residents and a dossier of illustrious speakers, including Madeline Albright, Doris Kearns Goodwin, and David McCullough and this year: WHS alum and Richard Preston, author of The Cobra Event and The Wild Trees.

Books in Bloom

Coming Spring 2025!

Books in Bloom, is a unique fundraising event that brings books to life through floral arrangements and artistic expression. The event is held every other Spring, with an Opening Night Reception for ticket holders. Attendees spend the evening viewing stunning arrangements placed throughout the library, with the backdrop of live music, a hosted bar and small bites. Each arrangement is created, and paid for, by floral designers. Other expenses are covered by our generous sponsors, allowing The Library Foundation to fund the enhancements that make our Library extraordinary.
