Wellesley Celebrates Diwali

Posted on November 6, 2015

Diwali is the biggest, most famous and most commonly celebrated of Hindu festivals. Be sure to stop by the Library’s exhibit cases to view a collection of unique, beautiful and/or useful items from different regions of India, including clothing, jewelry, and decorative items.  On Sunday, November 8th at 2 PM, the public is invited to attend a free Diwali celebration. Hear music from a variety of Indian regions, see a Bharatanatyam dance, try Mendi body art, and more!

Jointly sponsored by World of Wellesley and the Friends of the Wellesley Free Libraries.
