October 9-15 is Teen Read Week!

Posted on October 1, 2016

Created in 1998, Teen Read Week is a Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) initiative to encourage reading and yalsa2016displaylibrary usage among teens. Teen Read Week is held annually in October, and this year we have a multi-lingual “Read for Fun!” theme designed to highlight all of the library services offered to “22% of the nation’s youth who speak a language other than English at home.”1

Each year, YALSA also hosts a popular vote for the Teens’ Top Ten, ten of your favorite new young adult books chosen by YOU! Have you voted yet? Voting ends on October 17th, so vote here today.

Participate in Teen Read Week by visiting the High School Room and the Young Adult section on the second floor of the library to pick up a book or two!
