Private Support Matters

Posted on September 4, 2016

Every gift matters. Every giver makes a difference. In recent years, between 15-20% of the Wellesley Free Library’s operating needs have been met through private gifts and grants.  The WFL Foundation works closely with library leadership to identify ways to initiate innovation, deepen the impact of our programs and elevate the library experience for our patrons.

At the WFL Foundation GALA this past spring, library supporters gave generously to support the purchase of two NAO robots. These hi-tech ambassadors bring digital literacy to life, broadening the library’s technology programs and creating new opportunities for outreach to our community!

Thank You! Your generosity truly makes the difference between a good library and a great one. #privatesupportmatters

Hurry up to get in on the naming of our robots!  Contest ends Friday, September 9th. Entry forms are available at the Main Library, Hills Branch, Fells Branch and online at www.wellesleyfreelibrary.org/the-robots-are-coming/

Join us on Saturday, September 17th at 2pm in the Wakelin Room to learn the names of our robots, watch a short demonstration and sign up for classes.
