Kate Ross

 

Wellesley High School Author: Kate Ross (1974)

            After WHS, Kate graduated from Wellesley College and Yale Law School.  A trial lawyer, she worked at Sullivan & Worcester (a Boston Law firm), then began her career as a novelist.  She wrote four mystery books set in Regency-era England about the dandy Julian Kestrel:  Cut to the Quick (winner of the Gargoyle Award for Best Historical Mystery); A Broken Vessel; Whom the Gods Love; and The Devil in Music (winner of the Agatha Award for Best Novel.

            Kate died in 1998 at the age of 42, and is buried in Wellesley
