Museum Passes

About the Museum Passes

Museum passes are made available to Library patrons through the generosity of the Friends of the Wellesley Free Libraries and other organizations. The Trustees appreciate and welcome these gifts. As with other gifts donated to the Library, museum passes and their use are governed by the Library Board of Trustees.

  • Reserving a Museum Pass

Wellesley residents may make advance reservations (up to 60 days prior to use) in person at the Main Library, using our online museum pass reservation tool below, or by calling 781-235-1610.

  • Limits

  • Wellesley residents and employees of the Town of Wellesley may reserve one pass per week, up to 60 days in advance. Non-Wellesley residents should call the library to check for pass availability.
  • Non-Wellesley residents with a valid library card from any of the member libraries of the Minuteman Library Network may borrow a museum pass on the day of its use provided the pass has not already been reserved for use that day.
  • During periods of school vacation, families are limited to one museum pass per family per week.

  • Passes Available

The Wellesley Free Library has passes available for the following museums. For information about hours, directions and exhibits click on the links to the museums’ websites. All prices are subject to change.

  • Zoo New England passes are on their way! Stay tuned and thank you for your patience.

  • Cancellations

If you reserve a pass and your plans change, use the cancellation link found in your confirmation email, or call us at 781-235-1610 ext. 1104 to cancel, so that the pass can be used by someone else. Please note — Passes do not provide discounts for museum store purchases or parking, nor do they cover any special exhibit fees such as the Science Museum’s Omni Theater, Planetarium or Laser Shows.
