All Wellesley Libraries will be closed on Friday, June 19 for the Juneteenth holiday.

The Hills Branch Library will close for renovations beginning June 1, 2026, and will reopen in fall 2026.

Wellesley High School Author: Peter May (1969)

            Peter is the award-winning, longtime Boston Globe sportswriter who covered the Boston Celtics, the Patriots dynasty, numerous Olympics, and more.  He is the author of five books, including: Top of the World: The Inside Story of the Boston Celtics’ Amazing One-Year Turnaround to Become NBA Champions; The Last Banner:  The Story of the 1985-86 Celtics and the NBA’s Greatest Team of All Time; The Big Three; Won’t Back Down: Teams, Dreams, and Family (with Pat Summitt); and The Open Question:  Ben Hogan and Golf’s Most Enduring Controversy (published 2021).
