HONORING WELLESLEY AUTHORS
If you've wanted to meet a Pulitzer or Nobel Prize-winner or talk with someone whose books have been on the New York Times bestseller list or who is well-known in the Boston media (Boston Globe, Boston Herald, WCVB-TV), you'll have your chance at the Wellesley Author's Reception. Thursday, April 15th, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Wakelin Room at the Wellesley Free Library. Dozens of our hometown authors will be taking part, and all Wellesley residents are welcome to attend. The event is organized by the Centennial Fund, celebrating its Silver Anniversary of supporting the library's collections, having given $906,000 to the library over the past 25 years.
Living Wellesley authors also include a former U.S. Poet Laureate; the author of the Rebecca "American Girl" doll series; nationally-renowned chefs; award-winning children's authors; internationally-acclaimed poets; a writer whose book became a movie; and many more.
For more information about the Authors' Reception, or if you're an author who would like to have your name added to the master list, contact the Cennennial Fund Trustees at centennialfund@aol.com. |
